Leroy T. McNamara, 62, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, was sentenced to seven years in federal prison for distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley on September 5, 2025. McNamara entered a guilty plea to the charge on the same day.

According to court records, McNamara sold a total of 335 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant during two separate transactions in July 2024.

At sentencing, Judge Conley stated: “McNamara’s willingness to trade on the addictions of others through his escalated drug dealing made him a danger to society.”

The case was investigated by the West Central Drug Task Force, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Assistant U.S. Attorney Megan Stelljes prosecuted the case.

The prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, which is a nationwide effort led by the Department of Justice that focuses on countering illegal immigration, dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
