Corey Webster has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin against Sergeant Jordan Kunya, Officer Briannia Johnson/Koller, and the City of Fitchburg. The case stems from an incident on July 19, 2024, where Webster alleges his civil rights were violated during a traffic stop. According to the complaint, after invoking his right to remain silent, Webster was forcibly detained and tased without justification by officers Kunya and Johnson/Koller. The charges against him were later dismissed, and an internal investigation found misconduct by Sergeant Kunya. Webster seeks compensatory and punitive damages, as well as declaratory and injunctive relief.
