The Green Bay courthouse at 125 S Jefferson St will be closed to the public on March 16 due to winter weather, according to a statement released on March 15.

The closure is intended to ensure the safety of the public and staff during hazardous conditions. Despite the building being closed, court staff will remain available by telephone and email during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This measure allows court operations to continue remotely while minimizing risk for those who would otherwise need to travel in inclement weather. The announcement did not specify when normal operations are expected to resume but indicated that updates would be provided as necessary.

Courthouses sometimes close during severe weather events in order to protect both employees and visitors. Remote access options help maintain essential services even when in-person visits are not possible.

Further information about reopening or additional closures may be communicated by court officials as conditions develop.
