George Dilles, a 55-year-old resident of Inverness, Illinois, pled guilty on April 20 to one count of failing to truthfully account for and pay employment taxes to the Internal Revenue Service. The announcement was made by Brad D. Schimel, First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

This case highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to ensure compliance with tax laws and protect public funds used for Social Security, Medicare, and other government services. According to court documents, Dilles served as president and part-owner of NG Enterprises, Inc., a company providing elderly home personal care in Milwaukee that employed between 50 and 110 workers over time. He was responsible for withholding federal income taxes as well as Social Security and Medicare taxes from employee wages but failed over a period spanning tax years 2019 through 2023. During this time, he did not file required quarterly Forms 941 or pay over more than $1.2 million owed in employment taxes.

Dilles’ sentencing is scheduled for June 26 before United States District Court Judge J.P. Stadtmueller. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine along with possible supervised release after any imprisonment.

IRS Criminal Investigation led the inquiry into Dilles’ conduct while Assistant U.S. Attorney John P. Scully is prosecuting the case.
