Richard Frohling, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, has announced a federal grand jury indictment against Todd E. Grimm, a 57-year-old resident of Menasha, Wisconsin. The indictment alleges that Grimm received child pornography in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252A(a)(2)(A).

The indictment details three counts of receipt of child pornography occurring on various dates in February, May, and July of 2023. If convicted on any count, Grimm faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and up to 20 years in prison. Additionally, he could be fined up to $250,000 and would be required to register as a sexual offender under both state and federal law.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the U.S. Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. Project Safe Childhood brings together resources from federal, state, and local levels to locate and prosecute individuals exploiting children via the Internet while also working to identify and rescue victims.

The Menasha Police Department conducted the investigation into this case. Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble will handle the prosecution.

It is important to note that an indictment is merely a charge and does not constitute evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a fair trial.
