A class-action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against Milwaukee Electric Corporation. The plaintiffs, Miles Iverson, Trenton Embry, and Ben Kaplan, allege that the company manufactured and sold defective M18 Fuel 14” and 12” Top Handle Chainsaws. These chainsaws have a defect where the chain brake may not activate during use, posing a laceration hazard. The recall notice was issued on October 30, 2025, but plaintiffs claim that Milwaukee Electric Corporation failed to provide adequate warnings or offer refunds, only offering repairs which they argue are insufficient. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $5 million on behalf of all affected consumers.
